Despite being away in Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage, the atmosphere at his Ibara GRA residence was vibrant, filled with the presence of family, friends, political associates, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the age milestone.
The celebration kicked off with special prayers conducted by Islamic scholars and clerics from the Egba Muslim community.
During a sermon at the ceremony, Imam Mohammed Bashir Ibrahim emphasized the divine nature of position and wealth, encouraging privileged members of society to focus on God and align their actions with His will, a sentiment reflected in Senator Amosun’s own life.
In a remarkable display of generosity, Senator Amosun seized the occasion to extend his birthday goodwill to inmates of correctional services in Abeokuta, Oba, Sagamu, Ijebu Ode, and Ilaro.
Bags of rice and cash gifts were donated to these centers, embodying the spirit of compassion.
The former governor’s benevolence extended further, with donations of bags of rice and cash to children at the Stella Obasanjo Children’s Home, Ibara GRA Abeokuta, Borstal Remand Home in Adigbe, and the Daniel Akintonde School for the Physically Challenged.
